Expensive jewellery stolen from home in Hillam
High value jewellery items have been stolen during a break-in in Hillam.

The burglary occurred at an address in Chapel Street sometime between 6.30pm and 8.15pm yesterday afternoon. Thieves gained entry to the property by forcing open a rear ground-floor window.
Items taken during the raid include a ladies Rado watch with a black face and diamonds, it is valued at £2,000. A ladies 9ct gold bracelet with flat links in a crystal trinket holder was also taken.
Other missing items include a ladies Swarovski silver chain with a large crystal fob and a necklace with five crystals and a heavy silver coloured chain.
Police say extensive enquiries are ongoing in a bid to find the perpetrators of the crime. Forensic examinations have already taken place at the scene and officers are continuing to analyse CCTV footage from the area.
They have urged anyone with any information that could assist the investigation and possibly identify the people involved in the burglary to come forward. In particular they would like to know about any suspicious individuals or vehicles seen in and around the Hillam area during yesterday evening.
