Yellow warning in force as Gertrude brings heavy rain and strong winds

Heavy rain and strong winds look set to batter the Selby District as a fresh Atlantic storm heads our way.

A yellow warning for heavy rain has been brought into force for parts of North Yorkshire from 15:00 today. It will remain effective until noon on Friday.

As though the wet weather wasn't enough to contend with, warnings of strong winds apply between now and noon tomorrow. A separate winds advisory is warning of more gusty weather on Monday.
