Burglars target Town Centre charity shop
Police are appealing for information after thieves broke into a charity shop in Selby Town Centre.

The Age UK shop on Finkle Street was broken into overnight between 5pm on Tuesday, July 1st and 8:30am the following morning.
Burglars got away with several items including jewellery, a charity collection tin and a small amount of cash. The jewellery stolen included two eternity rings and a silver ring with a large aquamarine stone.
Police are appealing for anyone who has any information about the burglary to contact them, including anyone who witness the break-in or has been offered the stolen items for sale.
PC Julia Allen of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said, “I am sure that members of the public will share our disdain that anyone could target a charity in this way and will help us find out who is responsible.
“If you have any information, no matter how small or insignificant you may think it is, please do not hesitate to contact the police. If you want to remain anonymous you can call Crimestoppers instead of the police.”
