Sherburn biker dies in Newthorpe crash
A motorcyclist from Sherburn has died after he was involved in a crash with a car at Newthorpe yesterday evening.

The man, aged 41-years, died at around around 4pm when his white Honda CBF motorbike came into collision with a Silver Alfo Romeo near the Sherburn area village. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorcycle was travelling towards Sherburn in Elmet and the Alfa Romeo was travelling in the opposite direction. They crashed approximately 250 metres north of the B1222's junction with Gorse Lane.
Meanwhile the 73-year-old driver of the Alfa Romeo, who is understood to be from Leeds, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, having suffered a serious injury to his hand.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw either of the vehicles prior to the collision or witnessed the actual crash, to contact them.
