Jogger may have witnessed Chapel Haddlesey burglaries

The burgled homes are on Millfield Road in the village, where two properties were broken into between 11:20 and 12:30 pm on Wednesday, April 30th.

Windows were smashed at the properties, enabling burglars to enter stealing items including an Accurist gold wristwatch.

A potential witness, seen out running in the area at the time of the burglaries, is being asked to come forward to the police in a bid to crack the case.  He is described as being white, in his early 30s and has short blond hair. He was wearing a grey tracksuit.

PC Peter Cooper, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you are the man who was running in the Chapel Haddlesey area around the time when the burglaries occurred, I ask you to come forward and contact the police as you may vital information which could help my enquiries.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who has any information about the burglaries and ask them to get in touch.”
