Popworld set to open in former Selby club
Selby
A national pub chain is gearing up to launch its latest Selby venue – and it's great news for fans of the 90s!
Popworld will throw open its door for the first time on Saturday night, having taken over the former 'Kans' nightclub space at the George Inn on Selby's Market Place.
The new venue promises colourful cocktails and 90s and naughties singalongs to the likes of the Spice Girls, S Club, Five and (shudders — ed) Steps.
Starting as it means to go on, Popworld's opening party will be a fun-packed retro bonanza with life-sized Lego men, circus skills, famous bobble heads and the very best of Popworld’s renowned record collection. Expect tiptop pop and plenty of props!
Richard Seaman, General Manager at Popworld Selby, said, "Popworld is loved all over the UK and we are so excited to be landing in Selby. We have deals galore and a jam-packed schedule of events to keep people partying all week long. With such envious offerings, we’re confident that locals will be delighted with the new biggest nights in town!"
