A statement added to the schools website apologised for disruption to students learning and also the inconvenience caused by the sudden closure of the school.
It said it was "impossible to use the building because of excessive siren noise which could not be silenced" additng that it would constitute a health and safety risk.
The school is hopeful that a repair will be carried out on the alarm with students able to return to school from tomorrow morning. But it goes on to warn that if a repair is not possible then the school will remain closed tomorrow.
An update text message will be sent to all parents, carers and guardians by 6:30am tomorrow morning to confirm whether the school is open tomorrow.
