Pedestrian injured in Bawtry Road crash

A pedestrian has been suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car on Bawtry Road late last night.

The incident occurred when a silver Audi A3 struck the pedestrian at around 11:15pm last night close to the gateway to the Selby Boat Centre.
North Yorkshire Police confirmed that one casualty, a man in his thirties, had been taken to hospital in Hull. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The driver of the Audi, a man aged in his 20s from the Goole area was uninjured. His car was travelling towards Selby town centre at the time of the collision.
The road was closed by police following the incident and was not reopened until after midnight.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision or saw either the pedestrian or the silver Audi prior to the incident, to contact them.
